About DACHA

DACHA founder Alla Pontbriand hails from a long line of artists and designers; originally from Ukraine and Russia, her family settled along the Silk Road in Uzbekistan after fleeing the Russian Revolution. DACHA - the Russian word for a country cottage and summer retreat - brilliantly weaves together Alla’s heritage, journey to the seasonal town of Wellfleet, and love of home decor, antiques and textiles. The DACHA collection is made from the centuries old practice of wood block printing, where teak blocks, laboriously carved by hand, are painstakingly used to stamp fabric with natural vegetable dyes. The small variations inherent to this process ensure each piece is unique.

We are located at 110 Holbrook Avenue in Wellfleet
